While the powertrains and some of the performance hardware are different among the three models, much of the same features are carried over and they have essentially the same seating space and design, though coupes have seating for five while cabriolets can seat four. The A5 lineup offers a good alternative to the BMW 3-Series, Cadillac CTS coupe and INFINITI Q50 coupe.       This is my 4th Audi - my first A5. It's been very reliable and has very sexy coupe looks. It's Turbo charged 2.0l 4 cyl has adequate power for most cases, there is a bit of lag on initial acceleration, but once the Turbo gets going around 3K RPM it's got more than enough power. The sounds are typical 4 cyl so don't expect American V8 baritones emanating from the exhaust. It handles excellent - typical German dynamics. The back seats are OK for young kids but it's very tight for adults so if you have older kids stick with the 4 door A4 else you will here mucho whining. The trunk is nice size for a coupe (the convertible version though not so much since the top uses much of the trunk space). The interior quality and feel is fantastic. If you want low end torque and violent acceleration off the line and don't mind lower gas mileage and significantly higher cost then go with the S5, but to me the A5 fits the bill since I don't need drag racer acceleration and want decent gas mileage and comfort. SO, IF you want adequate acceleration, excellent handling, fantastic sexy looks, don't need a comfortable back seat for adults, want high quality and reliability and Audi panache, then I highly recommend the A5.…

      Had this 2015 Audi A5 Cab for 2.5years, actually my wife's car, and it has been a lot of fun driving it near and in the mountains of East Tennessee. We put about 18K miles on it. The styling is exceptional with the top down, the brown color is striking, and driving on the winding roads is exhilarating. The front seats give more than enough room. The driving position is very good. The back seats are useless for humans but they are there for extra storage. Strange that there are reading lights and cupholders for the prospective backseat passengers. The seat backs fold down for extra trunk storage. The technology takes some getting used to, but spending a few hours with the owner's manual and you'll get the knack of it. Very reliable, with one exception due to an intermittent left rear window, but, heh, it is going on 8 years old. Fun to drive on the interstate and through the mountains but the ride is a bit stiffer and slightly bouncy as the wheelbase is shorter. The Continental Tires on the car, though, wear out after 25-30K miles, a disappointment. On long trips, I average close to 36 mpg, but with premium (93 Octane) gas. Very high quality interior appointments.…
